John Carroll University Guest Lecture, Cleveland, Ohio - February 11, 2025

Emma was delighted to accept an invitation to visit John Carroll University to speak with students and the wider community on Northern Ireland, peace processes, and community empowerment. Meeting with students of Professor Philip Metres, Emma discussed the success and failures of Northern Ireland's peace process through the context of a positive and negative peace. In the evening she delivered a public guest lecture on the power of civic movements to effect meaningful change with the message that society holds more power than many of us realise.
