Committee for Communities Evidence on Civic Participation, Stormont - March 27 2025

Emma was called forward to present evidence on the work of the Civic Initiative, alongside Chair Les Allamby. This session focused on the outcomes of the 18 month process including the 38 policy recommendations from the Citizens' Forum on Housing. It was highlighted that the Civic Initiative aimed to test the appetite for this kind of engagement within society, and succeeded. Emma asked for political representatives to review the commitment to deliver one citizens' assembly a year under New Decade, New Approach.
