Change From the Ground Up: The Role of Women, Youth, and Community-Based Movements in Effecting Societal Change in Northern Ireland, Villanova University - March 11 2025
Emma visited Villanova to speak with students, faculty, and the wider Villanovian community on how individuals and communities can effect societal change. Peace processes that include civil society are 65% more likely to succeed. Change often comes from outside government buildings, Emma's message was to remind the audience of their own power to effect change, through building connections, communities, and cohesion. In closing Emma discussed the future of Northern Ireland's peace process, and the potential of a referendum on Irish unity.
