Centre for Global Women's Studies Panel Discussion - March 22nd, 2024

On March 22nd, 2024, Emma participated in a panel discussion at the University of Galway.

Titled 'Engaging with media and challenging gender-based violence: foregrounding migrant women's perspectives' the panel hosted by Centre for Global Women's Studies featured other speakers including Dr Nasrin Khandoker, Dr Salome Mbugua, Journalist Shamim Malekmian, with Press Ombudsman Susan McKay as moderator.

Emma spoke to the institutionalised barriers that limit women's representation within the media landscape in Ireland, and in particular the additional barriers faced in the context of Northern Ireland's post-conflict society.
