As part of UWM's Irish language immersion weekend, Emma delivered a guest lecture charting the evolution of modern Irish movements.
Whether it was the Right to Water campaign, Repealing the Eighth amendment, Irish language rights or her own campaign on citizenship rights and the Good Friday Agreement there are four common threads:
- A crisis of political legitimacy
- Bypassing the Elites
- Moral reframing and storytelling
- Proposed solutions
The overarching message of this talk was that no matter the challenge or context, we all have the power to effect change.
